April 18th, 2026/Canton, MO - The Westminster women's track & field team competed at the Wildcat Open hosted by Culver-Stockton College on Saturday, April 18th, in their last meet before the SLIAC Championship. Four women - juniors
Emma Braby and
Natalie Stewart, freshman
Abby Dameron, and sophomore
Madison Kempker - competed in the javelin throw, finishing second through fifth, respectively. Dameron's throw of 26.88 meters was one of her three personal-best marks set on the day, along with her throws in the shot put (8.82) and discus (21.17). Kempker also set a new personal best mark in the discus (25.76), which ranks as the fifth-best mark in modern program history.
On the track, sophomore
Riley Vogel made her debut in the 3,000 steeplechase, finishing 11th. Her time of 14:35.27 currently ranks fourth in the SLIAC heading into this weekend's conference championship.
The Blue Jays travel to Greenville University for the 2026 SLIAC Championship on Friday, April 24th.
