9/3/25 Fulton, MO – Westminster volleyball opened its home slate in dominant fashion on Wednesday night, sweeping Central Christian College of the Bible (25–11, 25–7, 25–20) to improve to 4–1 on the season.
The Blue Jays spread the offense around with 12 different players recording at least one kill. Kylie Hasselbacher led the way with five kills on .833 hitting, while Kendal Herzing and Makenzie Sansone chipped in with five and four kills. Kellie Overtuff added four kills on .667 hitting efficiency. Landrey VanOverschelde handed out eight assists, and Liv Hart contributed five more. From the service line, Westminster applied pressure throughout the match, collecting multiple service aces while limiting Central Christian's ability to establish an attack.
Defensively, the Blue Jays were just as strong, holding the Saints to a -.200 team hitting percentage for the match. Westminster also showed depth, with contributions coming from across the roster in all three sets.
The win gives Westminster its third sweep of the season. The Blue Jays will hit the road this weekend to compete in the Rose-Hulman Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind.
