Coach O’Connor took over the Westminster Men's Soccer program in 2023. Over his first two (2023,2024) campaigns, O'Connor guided Westminster to the SLIAC Conference tournament. In 2025, the program hit several new milestones. The program finished in the top 4 of the SLIAC for the first time since the 2020 season. They also eclipsed the 10 win mark and received a United Soccer Coaches regional ranking (as high as #3).
Prior to Westminster, Coach O'Connor served as Head Coach at Randolph College (2022) and Knox College (2018-2021). As head soccer coach, O’Connor compiled an overall record of 49-12-6 and a 27-8-2 mark in conference play.
During that time, his teams won two regular season championships, two Midwest Conference Tournament titles, and qualified twice for the NCAA Tournament. His 2018 Knox team set a program record with 16 wins.
A native of Springfield, Illinois, O’Connor graduated in 2010 from Illinois College, where he double-majored in History and Communications and then was hired at the college as an assistant soccer coach.
O’Connor holds a United Soccer Coaches national diploma.
He also served in the U.S. Army from 2011 to 2014 and has an associate’s degree in Intelligence Operations from Cochise College in Douglas, Arizona. He and his wife, Sarah, are the parents of two sons, Declan and Everett.

2023-24: In O’Connor’s first season, the Blue Jays went 6-6-3 and earned a spot in the SLIAC tournament.
2024-25: In his 2nd season the Blue Jays would go 5-10-2 and would make the conference tournament for a second year in a row.
2025-26: In his 3rd season the Blue Jays posted a 10-5-2 record and made the conference tournament for a third year in a row and hosted a quarterfinals game for the first time since 2020.
