Blue Jays Sweep Greenville Tri-Match

3/19/2026 Fulton, MO – The Westminster men's volleyball team continued its strong season with a pair of wins at the Greenville tri-match, defeating UHSP in five sets before taking down Greenville in four. The Blue Jays improve to 19-6 overall and will return home to face Augustana on Friday, March 20 at 7 p.m. 
In a back-and-forth battle, the Blue Jays outlasted UHSP in a five-set thriller. After trading sets early, Westminster dropped a marathon fourth set 36-34 before regrouping to secure the decisive fifth set. Derrick Turner led the offense with 24 kills, while Demitrius Allen added 21 kills and 14 digs in a standout all-around performance. Brady Sickles contributed 15 kills and three service aces, and Khalil Peterson chipped in eight kills. Connor Johnson orchestrated the attack with an impressive 60 assists while adding two aces. Defensively, Ryan Rhodes led the team with 16 digs as Westminster totaled 61 digs and 20 blocks in the match. 

The Blue Jays followed with a strong response against host Greenville, bouncing back after dropping the opening set to win the next three. Dalio Taouil led the way with 12 kills on an efficient .440 hitting percentage. Brady Sickles added eight kills, while Khalil Peterson contributed six. Luke Rohrbach made a strong impact at the net with eight block assists. Johnson recorded 29 assists in the match, guiding a balanced offensive effort. Defensively, Westminster tallied 44 digs, with Rhodes leading the way with 10. 

With the two wins, the Blue Jays continue to build momentum heading into their next home matchup against Augustana on Friday night.
