Mar. 14th, 2026/Arkadelphia, AR - The Westminster women's track & field team traveled to Arkadelphia, Arkansas, on Saturday, March 14th to compete at the Ouachita Invite. Five athletes represented the Blue Jays, led by junior
Emma Braby. She opened her outdoor season with a fourth-place finish in the javelin, recording a mark of 33.42 that leads the SLIAC after the weekend. She also finished ninth in the shot put, where her mark of 9.11 ranks third in the conference. Sophomore
Karen Goodin also threw 7.36 meters in the shot put to break into the top ten in modern program history.
On the track, sophomores
Makayla Cordes and
Riley Vogel both competed in the 1500, recording the third- and fourth-best marks in the conference through two weekends. Cordes also competed in the long jump, recording a collegiate best mark of 4.33 meters. Junior
Sadie Brandt led the Blue Jays in the 800; her time of 2:38.98 is the second-fastest in the conference after the weekend, and seventh-fastest in modern program history.
The Blue Jays are back in action on Saturday, March 21st at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri.
