Feb. 20th, 2026/Jacksonville, IL - The Westminster men's track & field team traveled to Illinois College on Friday, February 20th to compete at the Hilltop Invitational, their final competition before the SLIAC indoor championship. Freshman
Aidan Szczodroski set the lone program record throughout the evening, breaking his own record in the 60-meter hurdles with his 9.44 performance.
In the field, sophomore
Weston Jennings led three men to top ten finishes in the long jump. His 6.09 mark was a new indoor personal best and placed sixth overall. Freshmen Nik Thieman (5.88, 9th) and
Chase Arnold (5.85, 10th) also set new season best marks. Arnold also placed tenth in the triple jump, setting a new #2 mark in school history in the event and moving closer to the program record of 12.22 meters.
Elsewhere on the track, freshmen
Levi Brandt and
Max Jarvis both set new personal bests in the 200- and 400-meter dashes. Fellow freshmen
Lee Ivy III and Vincent Howard threw consistent marks in both the shot put and weight throw.
The Blue Jays wrap up their 2026 indoor track & field season next weekend (Friday, February 27th - Saturday, February 28th) at Principia College in Elsah, IL.
