Keegan Rich Named Permanent Head Men’s and Women’s Track & Field Coach, Assistant Coach for Men’s and Women’s Cross Country

1/8/2026 Fulton, MO— The Westminster College Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced the appointment of Keegan Rich as the permanent Head Coach for Men's and Women's Track & Field. Rich previously served as the Interim Head Coach for the program and will also continue in his role as an assistant coach for the Men's and Women's Cross Country teams.

Rich initially joined Westminster College as the assistant coach for the men's and women's cross country and track & field programs before being elevated to interim head coach. His appointment to the permanent position follows a period of sustained competitive success and program growth.

"Keegan has demonstrated exceptional leadership, competitive vision, and a strong commitment to our student-athletes," said Dr. Jessica Brown, Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. "His ability to develop talent across all event groups while fostering a positive and disciplined culture made this decision an easy one. We are excited to see the continued growth of our track & field and cross country programs under his leadership."

Rich brings a diverse and impactful coaching background across all event groups, with particular expertise in sprints, hurdles, jumps, and throws. Since joining Westminster College in 2024, he has led the track and field program to multiple milestones, including six new school records, two outdoor conference champions, and six All-Conference performances.

In addition to success of the track and field teams, Westminster Colleges women's cross country team recorded its best SLIAC Championship showing since 2017, totaling 114 points to place fourth overall. The Blue Jays were led by Sadie Brandt, who finished seventh individually with a time of 25:16, highlighting the continued competitive momentum of the program.

Prior to Westminster, Rich served as an Assistant Track & Field Coach at Bethany Lutheran College (Minn.), where his athletes broke 19 school records and earned 15 conference titles. During his tenure, he also coached a Division III national qualifier in the triple jump.

A former NCAA Division III All-American in the long jump, Rich earned his degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Sports Management from Wartburg College.

"I'm honored to be named Head Track Coach at Westminster College and grateful for the opportunity," said Rich. "I'm excited to build a strong, competitive culture and continue developing our student-athletes both on the track and in the classroom."

Please join Westminster College Athletics in congratulating Keegan Rich as he officially leads the Men's and Women's Track & Field programs into the future.
