1/30/2026 Fulton, MO - The Westminster women's basketball team fell to Principia, 86–57, on Thursday night in SLIAC action.
Principia took control early and steadily built its lead across all four quarters. Westminster showed flashes of efficiency on offense but struggled to keep pace as Principia's scoring surged in the second and third quarters.
Evalena Claxton led the Blue Jays with a perfect shooting night, finishing 7-for-7 from the field for a team-high 14 points while adding eight rebounds. Aly Bullock followed with 10 points, six rebounds, and three assists, while Deyja Mayes contributed eight points and three rebounds. Gizelle Carreto added seven points and dished out an assist.
Despite strong individual performances, Westminster was unable to overcome Principia's offensive depth and momentum. Westminster will look to bounce back in its next contest on Saturday, Jan. 31, when the Blue Jays return home to host Eureka at 1 p.m.
