9/5/2025 Fulton, MO – The Westminster men's soccer team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 2-1 road victory over the University of the Ozarks on Friday evening. 

The Blue Jays struck first in the 58th minute when Nathan Naumann finished a pass from Braedon Cairer to give Westminster the lead. Just five minutes later, Ozarks answered with a penalty kick to level the score at 1-1. Westminster wasted no time regaining control. In the 65th minute, Blessing Kahiya scored his first career goal off an assist from Parker Murphy, putting the Blue Jays back on top for good. 

Goalkeeper Hunter Deeken anchored the defense with five saves in 90 minutes of action, including several key stops in the closing stretch to secure the win. Westminster totaled 10 shots, with five on target, while limiting the Eagles to just seven shots on frame. 

With the victory, the Blue Jays remain unbeaten at 3-0 and will return home on Sunday, September 7, to host UW-Whitewater at 1 p.m.
