9/23/2025 Fulton, MO – The Westminster women's soccer team defended its home field Tuesday night, earning a 2-1 win over Harris-Stowe State.
The Blue Jays grabbed the lead just before halftime when senior Allie Auer scored her first season goal in the 41st minute, finishing off a pass from Claire Sanders. Less than five minutes later, Westminster doubled its advantage as Fiona Shelp netted her third goal of the season off a combination assist from Molly Angell and Emma Fontenot.
Harris-Stowe pulled one back in the 86th minute, but the Blue Jay defense held firm the rest of the way. Goalkeeper Reagan Chigas collected two saves in the victory.
With the result, Westminster improves to 3-4 overall. The Blue Jays now turn their attention to conference play, traveling to face Eureka College on Saturday, September 28 at 3 p.m.
