Cedar Rapids, IA 3/1/2025- The Westminster College men's wrestling went north to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to compete in the NCAA Lower Midwest Regionals and for the second year in a row, the Blue Jays will be going to the NCAA National Championships. Austen Wetzel placed 3rd in the 184-pound weight class after going 5-1 in the tournament, winning overtime to move on to the 3rd place match and defeating the 9th ranked wrestler in the weight division to punch his ticket to nationals. Wetzel is the 3rd Blue Jay in program history to qualify for nationals. Michael Roberts would also have a podium finish at regionals placing 8th in the 157-pound weight class.  

The 2025 NCAA DIII wrestling championships will be held March 14-15 at Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island.
