Dubuque, IA 2/28/2026- The Westminster College men's wrestling team closed out its 2025–26 season at the NCAA Division III Region VI Championships in Dubuque, Iowa, hosted by Loras College. The Blue Jays were led by
Michael Roberts sixth-place at 165 pounds.
Roberts turned in the Blue Jays' top performance of the tournament, scoring 13 team points. He opened with a first-round fall over Corbin Falgout (Huntingdon) before battling back through the consolation bracket with a decision over Woods Arnez (University of the Ozarks) and a fall against Shane Hanford (Central). Roberts ultimately finished sixth in a highly competitive bracket.
At 133 pounds,
Isaac Gawronski (14-9) added a team point and earned a consolation victory with an 11-7 decision over Jayden Copeland (Schreiner).
Drake Schmidt (141),
Adam Peregoy (157), Geoffrey Hudson (184), and
Thomas Tempest (197) each gained valuable postseason experience as the Blue Jays wrapped up their final matches of the season against a strong regional field.
Westminster closes the season having competed hard and continuing to build momentum for the future of the program.
