10/8/2025 Fulton, MO - The Westminster volleyball team delivered a convincing 3–0 win over Blackburn on Wednesday night, earning set scores of 25–21, 25–15, and 25–17. The Blue Jays' efficient offense and balanced attack led them to a strong home victory as they improved their conference record.
Westminster hit an impressive .327 as a team, led by Samantha Hansen, who recorded 10 kills on a .571 hitting percentage. Kylie Hasselbacher and Paige Rowland each added 10 and 9 kills, respectively, both swinging efficiently above .360. Katelynn Jackson also contributed 10 kills along with 14 digs, notching a strong all-around performance.
Landrey VanOverschelde orchestrated the attack with 32 assists, while also chipping in 9 digs and 4.5 points on the night. Liv Hart added steady defense with 6 digs and 2 blocks, and Haylie Schnake anchored the back row with a team-leading 12 digs.
The Blue Jays' defense and service pressure helped limit Blackburn's rhythm throughout the match, particularly in the second and third sets, where Westminster controlled momentum from start to finish.
Westminster returns to action on Saturday, October 11, when they travel to Mississippi University for Women for a tri-match.
