10/8/2025 Fulton, MO - The Westminster women's soccer team dropped a close 1-0 decision on the road Wednesday evening at Webster University. Despite a strong defensive performance and several scoring opportunities, the Blue Jays were unable to find the back of the net in the conference matchup.
Webster scored the game's only goal in the first half and held off multiple Westminster attacks to secure the win. The Blue Jays outshot the Gorloks in the second half but couldn't capitalize on their chances.
Goalkeeper Reagan Chigas was outstanding in goal once again, recording seven saves in 90 minutes of play to keep Westminster within striking distance. Offensively, Addi Curtis and Fiona Shelp led the team with four shots each, while Molly Angell and Claire Sanders each added one shot on goal.
Westminster will look to bounce back at home on Saturday, October 18, when they host Mississippi University for Women (MUW) at 11 a.m.
