Lebanon, IL 2/27/2024- The Westminster College baseball team traveled to Lebanon, Illinois to take on the NCAA Division II, McKendree University. Westminster would go down 8-3 early in the game but would rally in the 6th to make it a two-run game. The Bearcats would hold on to win the game 10-7. Westminster falls to 3-7 on the season. 

• Getting the start on the mound for the Blue Jays was senior, Kobe Allen. Allen pitched 3.2 innings against the high-scoring Bearcats. The Bearcats have scored 10+ runs in the last 5 games. Allen faced 23 batters, striking out 3 of them, and only gave up 6 hits.  

• A handful of relievers visited the mound today for the Blue Jays; Salvador Moncada, Domenic Nordmann, Ben Kennebeck, Logan McCurley, and Sam Owen. Together, the relievers faced 25 batters and only gave up 8 hits between the 5 of them. 

• Offensively the Blue Jays combined for 7 hits and 7 runs; Leading the Blue Jays were Chris Louie, Payton Whitehead, and Matt Lukins. 

• The Blue Jays kept the pressure on the Bearcats by getting 5 walks and getting runners on base almost every inning.
