Fulton, MO 2/20/24 - Westminster Blue Jays faced the Lincoln Blue Tigers in their first home series of the year. The Blue Jays lost the first game 13-3 and lost the second game 10-2 on Tuesday afternoon. 

Game 1 vs. Lincoln University- Box Score  

● Westminster Blue Jays lose with the final score being 13-3 

● Blue Jays went down early 3-0 in the top of the third inning. 

● Blue Jays Offense was on fire in the bottom of the third scoring 3 runs 

● Senior Kelsey Logan hit a 2 RBI double to the fence to score Sophomore Payton Dudenhoeffer and Senior Maddie Marrero: making runners on second and third for Freshman Ellie Bedsworth. 

● Bedsworth stepped up and hit a sacrifice fly ball to right field to score Senior Emily Esquivel. 

● A handful of Blue Jay pitchers were on the mound, Caroline Bentley, Ellie Bedsworth, and Haley Miller. Together they combined for 2 strikeouts.

Game 2 vs. Lincoln University- Box Score 

● First 7 inning game for the Blue Jays finished losing 10-2 to the Blue Tigers. 

● High scoring first inning. The Blue Tigers scored 3 in the top of the inning while the Blue Jays scored 2 in the bottom. 

● Kelsey Logan, Haylee Chandler, Tatum Bradshaw, Lakyn Breesawitz, Kendall Weber and Madelynn Kordik all got hits for the Blue Jays. 

● Payton Dudenhoeffer went 6.1 innings facing 36 batters. Coming in to finish out the game Junior Haley Miller.
