Memphis, TN 9/10/2022 - Westminster men's soccer fell 7-0 to Rhodes College to complete the non-conference portion of the schedule. The Blue Jays fall to 0-4 on the season.
Simpson dominated both halves, scoring three goals in the first half. Two goals came within the first three minutes of play. They would score again at the 16:19 mark. They would score four goals in the second half, with two of them coming within thirty seconds of each other.
The Blue Jays managed to get four shots in the game, including two on goal, but couldn't connect with the back of the net.
The young freshman goalkeeper Davis Herbst (O'Fallon, MO / Fort Zumwalt North) got his second career start and faced a whopping sixteen shots on goal and made nine saves.
The Blue Jays open SLIAC play on Tuesday, September 13th when they host the Principia Panthers Tuesday night at 7 PM.
