Fulton, MO 10/11/2022- The Westminster College volleyball team hosted the Fontbonne University Griffins on Tuesday night and the teams split the season series after the Griffins' 3-0 victory. Fontbonne would win all three sets (22-25,26-24,22-25) as they improved to 8-8 on the season and 5-3 in the SLIAC. The Blue Jays fall to 15-9 on the season and 9-3 in the SLIAC.
The Blue Jays did not have a single-player record double-digit kills. Haley Menke (O'Fallon, Mo. / Fort Zumwalt West) led the team with eight kills. Kirsten Schrader (Imperial, MO / St. Pius X) led with nine digs. Setter Kate Rable (Saint Peters, Mo. / Fort Zumwalt South) had seventeen assists in the game.
The Westminster volleyball team will look to recover and get back to their winning ways when they take on Culver-Stockton at home on Thursday, October 13th. That game is scheduled to start at 6:30 PM.
