Westminster Women's Basketball Marks Win on Senior Day

FULTON, Mo. - Westminster women's basketball honored its three seniors in the 84-54 win over Principia for Senior Day.

The Blue Jays improve to 18-5 overall with the win.

Westminster celebrated Hannah Macon, Kendahl Adams, and Mirrakohl Johnson before the game.

"It's a true honor to close out my college career at Westminster surrounded by friends and family," said Adams. "This esteemed program is building an impressive legacy and I am glad to have played a role."

"I was extremely excited to start the game tonight," said Macon of her first career place in the starting lineup, "but to be with who I consider family was even better. This team gave me so much as a manager for three years and even more as a player. I'm so thankful to be a Blue Jay!"

"Today was a lot of fun being celebrated and watching my teammates get the opportunity to play a lot of minutes," said Johnson. "It is bittersweet that it is the last home game that I'll play at Westminster, but the journey is far from over!"

The Blue Jays got off to a quick start in the game, quickly racking up 25 points in the first quarter alone thanks to eight points from Mikalyn Callahan. Adams exploded for eight points in the second quarter to extend the lead to 42-24 at the half.

Adams continued putting up points in the second half with a 10-point third quarter, finishing the game with a game-high 22 points and pulling down 20 rebounds.

Johnson also added a double-double, scoring 16 and pulling down 15 boards to tie the all-time rebounding record at Westminster.

Kallee Dowler (15) and Callahan (10) each finished in double digits.

Westminster finishes the rest of the regular season next week with a matchup at Greenville Wednesday and the last game of season Saturday at MacMurray before preparing for the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Feb. 21 and 23.
