Adams Scores 1000th Career Point in Westminster Women's Basketball Rout

FULTON, Mo. - Kendahl Adams scored her 1000th career point in the 99-35 rout of Central Christian College of the Bible.

The Blue Jays improve to 6-1 on the season with the win.

"Kendahl is such a special player," said Westminster Head Coach James Arnold. "I knew our program got significantly better the day she committed to Westminster and she is proving why."

This season is Adams' second with the Blue Jays, spending her first two seasons at Stephens College and UMSL. Last season, she scored 522 points for Westminster, setting the single season scoring record. A total of 636 of her career points are with Westminster.

On their way to the win, Westminster set the team record for three-pointers in a game, going 15-37 from behind the arc. The previous record was 14, set last season against Iowa Wesleyan.

Three Blue Jays scored in double figures including Adams with 29, Kalle Dowler with 11, and Kendal Miller with 15. Adams added nine rebounds and seven assists in the win.

"It was great to see everyone get some extended action tonight while picking up another win," said Arnold. "

The Blue Jays remain at home for their second nonconference matchup of the week, going up against Washington University. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
