FULTON, Mo. - Westminster volleyball earned a conference win over MacMurray Saturday after falling in a five-set thriller to Greenville.

The Blue Jays move to 12-11 overall and 10-6 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, holding on to a fourth-place spot. 

In the first match of the day, Westminster played Greenville to five sets. After dropping the first two sets, the Blue Jays came storming back to even the score at 2-2, eventually falling 15-13 in the final set. 

The offensive attack was spread between Natalie Needy and Allie Kennebeck, who each added 13 kills, and Sarah Rivers, who added 11. Teresa Becker stepped into the setter position for the first time since last season, adding 44 assists. 

In the second match of the day, Westminster recovered to defeat MacMurray 3-1. 

The Highlanders forced extra points in the first set to win 26-24, but the Blue Jays came back to win the final three sets and take the win. 

Kennebeck, Needy and Rivers again led the offese, with 14 kills apiece for Needy and Kennebeck and 10 for Rivers. 

Becker again recorded 44 assists, while four Blue Jays added double-figure digs, including Micha Frasher, Bridget Ringwald, Erica Schrader, and Becker. 

The Blue Jays remain at home, facing Washington University in a nonconference battle for senior night.
