FULTON, Mo. - Westminster baseball took its first loss of the 2017 SLIAC Tournament Saturday to Greenville 11-7. The Blue Jays need one more win to take home the tournament championship. 

Hayden Wallace started on the mound, giving up eight runs on seven hits during his two innings. 

Blake Strebler hit an RBI single in the first inning, while Nick Cessna and Adam Mundle each drove in a run to score the second and third runs for the Blue Jays.

In response, Greenville scored seven runs to make the score 9-3 after three innings.  

Trying to fight back, Nick Cessna hit a blast to score three runs including Strebler and Will Stonecipher to cut the Panther deficit to 11-7. 

Despite the offensive run from Westminster, the game ended with a final score of 11-7. 

Westminster faces Greenville Sunday at 1 p.m. The winner takes home the 2017 SLIAC Tournament championship and a bid to the NCAA Tournament.
