05/03/2025 Fulton, MO- Westminster College is proud to announce that softball center fielder, Kendall Weber, has been named the Westminster College April Player of the Month. A senior from Lake Saint Louis, Missouri, Kendall has consistently proven herself as a key player for the Blue Jays, and her performance this month has been outstanding.
Kendall, an Exercise Science major with a Business Administration minor, has shown exceptional dedication to both her academics and athletics. This month, her hard work paid off as she continued to shine at the plate. Over 14 games in April, Kendall posted a .442 batting average with 12 runs, 19 hits, and 7 RBIs. She also boasted a .467 on-base percentage and a .512 slugging percentage, further solidifying her status as a top performer in the SLIAC.
Kendall's overall season stats reflect her consistent contributions. With a .423 batting average, she ranks 4th in the conference and is 5th in hits with 41 on the year. Additionally, she ranks 8th in doubles and 4th in triples, demonstrating her well-rounded abilities. Her performance in conference games has been impressive as well, with a .438 average, leading to her ranking 7th in the conference in on-base percentage.
When asked about winning Player of the Month, Kendall shared, "Winning Player of the Month means the world to me. I've worked incredibly hard this year, and I'm proud of my accomplishments." Her dedication and leadership on the field are clear, and she has been an integral part of her team's success.
One of Kendall's peers also expressed admiration for her work ethic, saying, "She's the kind of player you always want beside you. Making diving catches, driving in runs, and picking us up when we need it most. Watching her grow into a leader has been incredible. She sets the tone for all of us, every single game this season."
Outside of softball, Kendall enjoys spending time with her friends, playing card games, or watching TV. With graduation fast approaching, she reflects on her time at Westminster: "This month has reminded me of why I love the game of softball. As graduation is approaching and my softball career is close to ending, I've begun to cherish every moment I have on the field and have worked hard to finish what I started 15 years ago."
