Westminster College (MO)

The 2026-27 season will be Reece Tanguay’s 5th as Associate Head Coach of Westminster Baseball. As the longest tenured member of the coaching staff, Tanguay has been in the dugout for 4 consecutive trips to the SLIAC conference tournament, including last year’s historic trip to the final. He has played a key role in recruiting, developing, and retaining 15 all-conference players and has seen 40 members of the baseball program graduate from Westminster. Now under Chase Locklar, Tanguay will continue to assist with all aspects of the program and coach 3rd base on gameday.

Tanguay joined Westminster in the fall of 2022, after an impressive playing and coaching career at Lyndon State College, now known as Vermont State University - Lyndon. As a player, Tanguay excelled both athletically and academically, earning All-Conference honors, graduating with a 4.0 GPA and receiving the North Atlantic Conference Senior Scholar Athlete Award. Following his playing career, Tanguay joined the VSU-L coaching staff as an assistant in 2017, taking over as the program’s Head Coach in 2019. During his tenure, Tanguay led the Hornets to two playoff appearances, helped develop a North Atlantic Conference pitcher and player of the year and set the school’s single season win record. On the summer circuit, Tanguay spent 7 highly successful seasons with Post 91 American Legion, located in his hometown of Essex Junction, VT. The program won state championships in 2018, 2021, 2022 and 2023 before Tanguay stepped down in 2024.
