Chase Locklar, a native of Salem, Alabama, enters his first season as an assistant coach at Westminster University. Locklar joins the baseball coaching staff with responsibilities including the development of pitchers and catchers, along with key contributions to the recruiting process.
Locklar completed his playing career at Carolina University, an NAIA institution in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he made 70 career appearances. He set program records for both single-season and career appearances and was named Carolina’s Male Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2025. A versatile player throughout his collegiate career, Locklar began as a catcher and went on to play three different positions due to COVID-related adjustments in programs.
His coaching experience includes serving as the pitching and associate coach for the Carolina Disco Turkeys, a collegiate summer baseball team based in Winston-Salem. Locklar was selected as an assistant coach for the 2024 SCBL All-Star Games held at Liberty University.
With a strong background in player development, leadership, and academic excellence, Locklar brings energy and experience to the Westminster coaching staff.
