Ben Busalacchi enters his 2nd season as an assistant coach for the Blue Jays Men's and Women's Volleyball programs. In his 1st season on staff, he helped lead the teams to a combined 50-15 record while contributing to the continued growth and success of both programs.Â
Busalacchi came to the Blue Jays with four years of Student Assistant Coaching experience with the women's volleyball team at Lakeland University. Along with two years of coaching boy's club volleyball at the Milwaukee Volleyball Club. He also coached with Ozaukee Volleyball Club as a sand camp coach for two summers.Â
Prior to joining the Blue Jays coaching staff, Busalacchi enjoyed a decorated playing career at Lakeland University. A three-time Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference All-Conference selection, earning Honorable Mention in 2023 an 2025, and a Second Team All-NACC in 2024. He finished his career as Lakeland's all time leader in both kills and service aces, while also ranking fourth in program history in digs and seventh in blocks. In addition to volleyball, Busalacchi also competed for the Muskies Men's Tennis team.Â
