2/11/2026 Fulton, MO – In one of the highest-scoring games of the season, the Westminster men's basketball team dropped a hard-fought 116-112 contest to Greenville on Wednesday night. The Blue Jays move to 6-16 overall and 2-10 in SLIAC play.
Westminster came out firing in the first half, putting up 55 points and taking a narrow 55-54 lead into the break. The Blue Jays continued their offensive surge in the second half with 57 more points, but Greenville answered with 62 to secure the four-point victory.
Sean LaRose led all scorers with a stellar 30-point performance, shooting 11-of-14 from the floor and 7-of-8 from the free-throw line. Jamile Johnson added 27 points on an efficient 11-of-15 shooting night while grabbing seven rebounds and recording five blocks.
Walker Gohring contributed 15 points and five rebounds, while Carlitos Sanchez added nine points off the bench. Gavin Hendrix chipped in eight points and seven rebounds, and the Blue Jays saw balanced scoring throughout the lineup with nine different players finding the scoring column.
Westminster will look to bounce back on Saturday, Feb. 14, when they host Blackburn at 3 p.m.
