Auburn, IL 4/25/2025- The Westminster College men's golf team traveled to Auburn, Illinois, to compete in the Blackburn Invitational. They would face off against Eureka College and the hosts, Blackburn College. The Blue Jays would win the tournament, defeating the Beavers by one stroke and the Red Devils by one hundred and forty-three strokes. Aidan Fonke would tie a school record in round one on Thursday, shooting a 72. He would follow that up on Friday, shooting a 74 and winning the tournament with a 146 total score. Nik Olsson would place 3rd overall, shooting an 85 in round one and a 74 in round two for a tournament total of 159. It is the Blue Jays' first win under Head Coach Alex Kueker and the program's first tournament win in over a decade! The Blue Jays will be back in action on May 4th for the first round of the SLIAC Championships.
