12/31/2025 Fulton, MO - The Westminster men's basketball team closed out the calendar year with a strong 80–67 victory over Hendrix College on December 30, improving to 5–7 overall on the season. The Blue Jays controlled the tempo throughout and used a balanced offensive effort to secure the home win.
Westminster held a 41–34 advantage at halftime and continued to apply pressure in the second half, outscoring the Warriors 39–33 to seal the victory. The Blue Jays moved the ball effectively all night, finishing with 25 assists on 31 made field goals.
Kolton Garner led Westminster with 17 points, connecting on three three-pointers and going a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line. Aidan Temple followed with 16 points on an efficient 7-of-13 shooting performance, while Roman Phillips added 10 points and a team-high seven rebounds in 15 minutes of action. Jamile Johnson chipped in 11 points and five rebounds, and Kobe Jones provided a spark in the backcourt with 10 points, four assists, and two made three-pointers. Walker Gohring contributed seven points, five rebounds, and a team-best six assists to round out the balanced scoring effort.
Westminster controlled the glass, outrebounding Hendrix 45–34, and limited the Warriors' second-chance opportunities while maintaining defensive discipline. The Blue Jays will look to carry this momentum into their next contest when they travel to Webster University on Saturday, January 3.
